1. NYC’s NYDIG, a Bitcoin technology and custodial platform for institutions, has raised $1 billion in a growth equity funding, at a $7 billion valuation. The round was led by WestCap, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, FinTech Collective, Affirm, FIS, Fiserv, MassMutual, Morgan Stanley and New York Life. The company provides a suite of Bitcoin investment, brokerage, treasury, and technology solutions for institutional investors. ( (PR Newswire)

2. NYC’s Betcha Sports, a live sports social and gaming app, has been acquired by Chicago’s Vivid Seats, a ticket selling platform. The purchase price is $25 million with additional payments of up to $40 million based on future performance. 3. NYC’s PetPlate, a direct-to-consumer fresh-cooked pet meal subscription service, has raised $19 million in a Series B funding. The round was led by Pendulum and was joined by D.F. Enterprises, 301 INC, Conversion Venture Capital, Marco Polo, Fernbrook Capital Management and Amity Supply. PetPlate sells ready-to-eat meals and organic treats and supplements for dogs through an online subscription service and the independent pet retail channel. ( (PR Newswire)

4. NYC’s Massive, a platform that allows app users to share unused processing power, has raised $11 million in a seed funding. The round was led by Steven Cohen’s Point72 Ventures with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Kraken Ventures, BlockTower Capital and CoinShares Ventures. App developers utilizing Massive can let their users choose to pay for premium features with leftover computing capacity. ( (PR Newswire)

5. Norwalk’s Zorus, a cybersecurity platform, has raised $9 million in a Series A funding. Asymmetric Capital Partners led the round and was joined by Innospark Ventures and General Catalyst. Zorus’ platform uses AI-based web filtering to block malware threats. ( (PR Newswire)

8. NYC’s Republic, a retail investment platform, is acquiring UK-based Seedrs, a crowdfunding platform. The purchase price is $100 million. Republic expects that the acquisition will accelerate its expansion in Europe. ( ( (PR Newswire)

9. NYC’s Nuvocargo, a platform that modernizes US/Mexico trade, has raised $20.5 million in a venture funding round at a $180 million valuation. The round was led by NYC’s Tiger Global, The Flexport Fund, QED Investors and NFX. Nuvocargo’s platform offers an all-in-one service that rolls freight forwarding, customs brokerage, cargo insurance and trade financing into one app. ( (Globe Newswire)

10. Brooklyn’s Deed, a workplace giving platform, has raised $10 million in a Series A funding. Earlybird led the round with participation from PruVen Capital, Y Combinator, Paua Ventures, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi and Jeffrey Katzenberg’s Wndrco. Deed’s platform is used by companies such as Airbnb, Stripe, Box and Adidas to let employees help shape corporate giving. ( (TechCrunch)
